We got several requests on this issue with genius mouse. I think there is a problem with the driver. We install mouse hook during the drag and drop of the key. May be this causes the driver to crash. We can try to debug it, but I am not sure that we find this problem so soon... null

dear cool+KW, thanks for your reply. leaves me a bit puzzled though: so, what ARE you now going to do? i mean: by your own recognition, this problem is not limited to one individual, and you're aware of that. the people who've gotten in touch with you did/do so because they have interest in your prog. yet, you don't seem ready to commit to check the thing out. for a product which is appreciated and widely adopted, that's a strange attitude... are you indicating that we cannot expect any further support and serious attention given to your supporters? hoping for the best for all of us, c

Chris,
thanks for the suggestions. But now you are the second one who wrote about this problem. We don't even have this mouse and I don't know where to buy it in Germany Sure we will fix this bug. I don't think this should get the highest priority. On the other hand I don't believe this bug is our failure. If you think logically:
1. Win32 application runs in its own process space.
2. Mouse driver gets some notifications (may be very quick keyboard intput or whatever). There could be an error in internal message handling in this driver or may be just a general protection fault that is caused by some specific mouse action. How can we debug a third party program when even don't have the source code of it???

I believe this is a problem of the mouse driver programmers. Try to contact them... KW does not crash MS Mouse or other... They can download KW for free and debug their app.

dear cool,
thx for the response. i agree with you that i wouldn't be a priority, my recent post was simply to make sure that you understand that nothing's worse, from this end of the situation, than to be given a wishy-washy reaction. so, now: ok, i'll get in touch with the mouse people and see what comes. will keep you posted, cheerio, c
